Belfast-based software company, WorkPal, has won a coveted place on the UK Government’s digital marketplace, G-Cloud, giving it access to online procurement opportunities.
From 2013 WorkPal has been developing market-leading workflow management software and has expanded from its Head Office in Northern Ireland to include offices in Scotland, Ireland and the USA with a steadily growing client base.
The G-Cloud initiative is designed to help companies trade with public sector bodies, to ease procurement with departments that use cloud computing. Organisations that are listed on the G-Cloud platform can sell products and services to public bodies without the need for a full tendering process.
WorkPal offers customers a reliable and easy to use software solution to their workflow management problems. The software hosts a range of features including job management, reporting, tracking and invoicing all available on the move and hosted in the cloud.
Targeted at organisations with field-based workers or internal maintenance teams, WorkPal is ideal for a range of public sector bodies such as district councils, schools, NHS as well as the police force, fire service and universities.
The G-Cloud Digital Marketplace provides WorkPal with the opportunity to establish new trading partnerships and tender with public sector buyers in an open environment, creating a more transparent purchasing process.
And, time constraints and different office hours for international trade are no longer issues as it’s possible to operate on an around the clock basis.
Britt Megahey, Managing Director of WorkPal, said: “Local government and wider public sector organisations are at the front-line of public service delivery. We have developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing these organisations currently and how it’s imperative for them to have access to the right technology and digital capability to ensure that there are innovative digital services available to all.
