Tina Calder

Director, high level copywriter, publicist, content strategist & trainer
Specialising in working with internal teams of large organisations, medium enterprises and individually with small businesses Tina works with clients to create bespoke multi-platform publicity, communications, PR and content strategies and plans.

Along with her team Tina works with brands, organisations and individuals who want to raise their game and increase their profile in the media to reach target audiences.

Using her experience and expertise Tina helps clients understand the importance of an effective publicity and communications management strategy that will maximise their profile, raise awareness and increase sales performance. Tina uses a unique and creative approach developed by her to stimulate innovative thinking and idea creation which goes beyond the traditional corporate constraints while keeping a focus on strategic objectives.

Using over 25 years experience and expertise Tina helps clients develop and deliver innovative, targeted, and effective publicity strategies that will enhance their profile and strengthen relationships with prospective and existing audiences, clients, and stakeholders.

Carly Curley

Office Manager
Carly is an experienced office manager and administrator who has 20 years experience. Carly has 6 years experience at Excalibur Press first starting as a freelance consultant and now as a permanent member of staff.

Carly’s experience at Excalibur Press involves ensuring all briefs are processed and all work coordinated with all staff.

Carly looks after budgets, workflows and time management for the business as well as all accounts and HR.

Alexandra Fehér

Senior Content Creator & Copywriter
Alexandra graduated from Ulster University in 2019 with a first-class honours degree in Business with Marketing and earned a Diploma in International Academic Studies for a year spent in Germany.

Her interest in analytics led her to pursue a postgraduate certificate in Data Analytics. She has recently completed an OCN Level 2 Social Media training course at SERC.

With her background in marketing, Alexandra joined Excalibur Press as an intern content creator in January 2021 and moved into a full-time content creator and copywriter role soon after.

Now she manages several client accounts and creates content for various platforms with a focus on long-form and whitepaper copywriting.

Adam McBride

Senior Developer/Digital Team Lead

Adam is a creative technologist with 15 years experience in web design & development.

Adam has sat on the board of an autism charity, volunteers his time teaching children how to code with charities such as CoderDojo, and was a youth team volunteer with St John Ambulance cadets.

He is multidisciplinary, with university level training and qualification in Economics, Business and Marketing alongside his post-graduate training in Software Development.

He founded and ran Northern Ireland’s longest running event for bloggers (Belfast Bloggers Meetup), ran a start-up blog (StartNI), founded Ballymoney’s first coworking space (Bannworks), and ran his own digital agency which was a partner agency to Excalibur Press before Tina brought him in-house to build our internal digital capacity.

Adam believes that learning is a life-long process and is also taking courses in cybersecurity, data analytics, machine learning and life coaching, working towards his aim to be the top specialist helping small businesses engage in successful holistic digital transformation in Northern Ireland.

Lyndsey Hodgkinson

Content Creator & Social Media Assistant
With a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Production, and experience studying and working abroad, Lyndsey joined the Excalibur Press team in August 2020 as a content creator.

Media Production has always been a big passion of hers, particularly when it comes to broadcast.

Lyndsey quickly learned when she started working for Excalibur Press to value engaging content above all else. She brings the standard she’d take to any video project to her work daily and loves collaboration. She strives to provide the most engaging and valuable content across all platforms and always wants to deliver the best experience for clients and their services.

Lyndsey’s expertise in videography extends to online streamed content where she streams herself and helps moderate other streams as a community manager. Lyndsey brings with her a contemporary flair to digital content creation and a passion for her craft.

Rachel Doherty

Business Strategy & Experienced Marketing Professional
With over 12 years’ experience in the Engineering and Manufacturing sectors, Rachel has led on significant business transformation initiatives that have enabled SMEs to double turnover and employee numbers in just two years, winning multiple awards, including Deloitte’s Best Managed Company and Best Change Management Programme (Bronze) in the UK’s Training Journal Awards.

Rachel specialises in business strategy, transformation & growth, high level marketing and is an experienced change agent.

Rachel is the owner of Inspired Business Solutions, a multi-disciplinary business consultancy that works in partnership with Excalibur Press.

Rachel is highly adaptable, qualified, and experienced in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Strategy & Processes, Organisational Development, Data Protection, Health and Safety, and Leadership. Her passion is using her diverse background and expertise to drive integrated and positive change in businesses to achieve success and growth.

With a passion for lifelong learning and skill development, Rachel is also the MD of 4C UR Future and in 2021 delivered a TEDx Talk titled ‘Why We Need To Disrupt Careers Education’.

Ruth Young

Social Media & Google Ads & Troubleshooting
A social media geek for over 20 years. For 15 years, Ruth worked mainly in the not-for-profit sector, but also in roles working in and alongside the public and private sectors. Each position required her to utilise social media to build the organisation’s profile, engage with supporters and customers, encourage donations and volunteer support, or boost sales and find business opportunities.

Ruth was pretty successful at building active and engaged digital communities for her employers and taught herself which platforms were best for each organisation’s needs, discovered tricks of the trade for boosting engagement and visibility, and learned to optimise profiles by tweaking settings and polishing online profiles. All of this is now applied in what she does through Ruthless Media in partnership with Excalibur Press supporting our clients through paid ads campaign marketing, and solving social media issues in the back end management of accounts.

Jonathan Traynor

Senior Journalist
With 35 years-experience writing Jonathan began his career as a journalist for a range of Northern Ireland newspapers as well as freelance work as American Football correspondent for Ireland’s Saturday Night and Sunday Life.

In the mid-90s he moved to become communications manager for two health trusts.

After working for a global PR company Jonathan went on to become communications manager for the children’s commissioner.

Upon leaving that post Jonathan has been a full-time writer, providing content for a range of clients, as well as publishing two books to date.

He has also written extensively as a music journalist.
