Belfast business and mindset event Momentum have announced Michelin Star Chef Michael Deane as a speaker for their forthcoming Night At The Museum digital conference.
Michael, who is restaurateur of DEANE’s, has revolutionised Belfast’s eating out scene and is the longest running Michelin Star Chef in Northern Ireland.
In his session, ‘Michelin Star Mindset’, Michael will share his unparalleled expertise and insights as he unveils the key principles and strategies that have propelled his career to extraordinary heights.
Momentum: A Night At The Museum, supported by Gekkoshot, will take place at the Ulster Museum on September 22, and Michael is only one of the all-star speaker lineup being revealed that includes leading names in hospitality, mindset, marketing, ecommerce, data and much more.
Speaking of his involvement with the event Michael said: “In a world teeming with events, Momentum stands out as providing a space that celebrates not just the business acumen but the passion, dedication, and the stories behind each success.
“I’m thrilled to take part, unveiling my ‘Michelin Star Mindset’ and delving into the intricate strategies that have sculpted my journey.”
According to organisers Warren Giffin and Amée Spence, the event plans to bridge the gap between business needs and mindset support.
“We’re delighted to be bringing Momentum back for a second event, building upon the resounding success of our inaugural event back in January at The MAC” explained Warren, adding: “Last time we had fantastic speakers such as self-made entrepreneur and CEO of Bellamianta & Iconic Bronze, Linda Stinson, as well as passionate mental health advocate and Let’s Face It podcast host, Domhnall Nugent.
“This time we’re excited to get ready to announce an equally special lineup of industry experts who will give our attendees a night to remember.”
Michael revealed that the biggest issue in the hospitality world remains figuring out how to deal with all the challenges in an industry known for its resilience and adaptability, stating that proactive collaboration is the way forward.
“It’s becoming increasingly difficult navigating the turbulent waters we find ourselves in.
“With a plethora of challenges, from supply chain disruptions to changing consumer behaviours, it’s not just about staying afloat anymore. It’s about knowing where the lifeboats are, being prepared for every scenario, and innovating in the face of adversity.
“Our industry is built on resilience and adaptability, and understanding these current challenges is crucial for future success.
“People and businesses in the hospitality sector need to be more collaborative and proactive than ever. Sharing resources, best practices, and insights can make a world of difference in navigating these challenging times.
“The government, on the other hand, should recognise the unique struggles faced by our industry and provide tailored support, be it in the form of financial aid, training, or easing regulations temporarily.
“It’s a collective effort – by fostering a community of collaboration, staying informed, and pushing for supportive policies, we can find those lifeboats and ensure the continued vitality of our industry.”
The 62-year-old hopes that attendees walk away from his ‘Michelin Star Mindset’ with a deeper understanding of the principles and strategies he has found fundamental in the creation of his journey in hospitality.
“My aim is for everyone to leave with actionable insights they can adapt and implement, regardless of their industry, propelling their own ventures to new heights.
“I believe in Momentum’s mission, its emphasis on real, transformative experiences, and its commitment to creating an environment where seasoned professionals and budding entrepreneurs can connect, learn, and inspire one another.”
