In these strange you need a very strange book to help you survive a world that sees social media experts and 24-rolling news, thankfully such a book is released today entitled Zero F*@ks Given.
Penned by writer Jonathan Traynor, and published by Excalibur Press, it is a combination of an expletive laden rants and the madcap adventures through heavy metal music festivals.
“What started as a chronicle of various music festivals has ended up as something completely different,” explained Jonathan.
“As I saw social media triumph over common sense, alternative medicine and conspiracy theories run wild it was appropriate to express my feelings without the normal reserve. Yes, it contains a lot of swearing.
“But as the title says I don’t give any!”
The taboos of life, such as not drinking responsibly, not smoking and the writer’s view on religion are all explored.
“This isn’t going to improve anyone’s physical health, but by learning to help mental health by having a more relaxed attitude, letting off a bit of steam and having fun it might help someone.
“Writing it helped me.”
Tina Calder of Excalibur Press said: “When it comes to writing a good book being able to make people stop, take notice and think is key to success. The thing about Zero F*@cks Given is that it does exactly that.
“Most people will read this book out of curiosity and although much of it is written in humour there is some real examples of how the author learned to deal with the world around him in what can only be described as a much more healthy way.
“Don’t read Zero F*@ks Given because you want to read a self-help book, read it because you want a raw experience of the world, some wildly funny stories and tales of antics that will make you wish you lived the life of this author.”
